During the month of July the Cleveland Cavaliers found an agreement with the Minnesota Timberwolves to bring Kevin Love in Ohio, by letting Andrew Wiggins, Anthony Bennett and their first round pick for the 2015 draft to the Timberwolves. Although the trade isn't happening before August 23rd, it will definitely change the aspect of both teams.
Cleveland Cavaliers :
By picking up the third part of the jigsaw, the Cav's now inheritate a Big Three of their own, imitating San Antonio who succeeded this year with the Parker/ Ginobili/ Duncan trio.
With Kyrie Irving, Lebron James, Kevin Love ( and Pacer guard, Paul George's injury) it is fairly easy to predict the Cavs the top spot in the East. By giving away their rookie star Andrew Wiggins, the first pick in the 2013 draft (Anthony Bennett) and their 2015 first round pick, Cav's ambitions are precise : they want the NBA title asap ! Like Brooklyn the year before, Cleveland is recruiting on the short term in order to win Larry O'Brien trophys fast before seeing its role players retire or settle elsewhere.
Our opinion : Cleveland has everything to succeed in the following years but knows that if the title is not in Ohio in the next two years they will easily be criticized (like Miami three years ago). But by adding Shawn Marion, Mike Miller ( and maybe Ray Allen by the end of summer ), they bring experience to this roster.
Minnesota Timberwolves :
Kevin Love's trade also included a deal between the Timberwolves, who obtain Thaddeus Young, and the Philadelphia Sixers, receiving former Cavs Anthony Bennett.
The T-Wolves begin a rebuilding process with 2015 Cavs' first round pick and the explosive duo of Wiggins/ Lavine (structured by the true point guard Ricky Rubio)

Avec Kyrie Irving, Lebron James, Kevin Love (et la récente blessure de Paul George aux Pacers) il est relativement facile d'annoncer Cleveland comme les favoris de l'Est. En se séparant de leur star rookie Andrew Wiggins, du premier pick de la draft 2013 (Anthony Bennett) et de leur futur tour de draft 2015 il n'est pas difficile de cerner les objectifs de Cleveland dans les prochaines années : le titre NBA ! A l'image de Brooklyn l'année passée qui avait signé les deux stars de Boston, Kevin Garnett et Paul Pierce, Cleveland effectue des transferts sur le court terme pour tenter de remporter le maximum de trophée Larry O'Brien avant de voir ses stars partir à la retraite ou vers d'autres franchises.
Notre avis : Cleveland frappe un gros coup en obtenant Love pour tenter de remporter le championnat mais attention à ne pas se brûler les doigts comme Miami en 2011 ! De plus les additions de Shawn Marion, Mike Miller et peut être Ray Allen à la fin de l'été, contribue grandement à apporter de l'expérience à et effectif.
Minnesota Timberwolves :
Le transfert de Kevin Love a aussi inclus un échange entre les Timberwolves, qui obtiennent Thaddeus Young, et les Sixers de Philadelphie, obtenant Anthony Bennett.
Le tour de draft 2015 des Cavaliers va permettre aux Timberwolves d'assurer leur futur et tenter de recruter des futurs grands joueurs. De plus l'association Wiggins/ Lavine établit un duo très explosif, accompagné du jeune talentueux Ricky Rubio,qui promet pour les années à suivre.
Notre avis : Minnesota s'en tire bien, en sachant que Love souhaitait partir à tout prix, et commence un processus de reconstruction.
